Job Title: Acute Care Physician Clinical Informaticist Location: Marshall Health Network: Reports To: Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) Position Summary: The Acute Physician Clinical Informaticist provides clinical leadership to advance the utilization of clinical information systems consistent with the mission of Marshall Health Network, Marshall Health, and other supported organizations. The physician informaticist provides support and guidance for the design of systems, clinical content, workflow and operational processes, quality of care, and benefits realization to support organizational transformation of care. The physician informaticist ensures that medical informatics concepts are integrated into information systems strategic planning, application design, and implementation tactics. The physician informaticist participates as a member of IS Governance across all supported entities to represent the needs and requirements of the physician community and serves as an advocate of management in promoting the use of information technology in the clinical setting.
