Description SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Nurse Practitioner, or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, is responsible for handling patient appointments, performing routine examinations, and performing in office pain management procedures. Duties include speaking with patients, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for chronic injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain updated medical records. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) works as part of the clinic provider team performing a variety of direct patient services including assessment, diagnosis, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and monitoring the general patient management plan for clinic patients. - The APRN/ PA performs these functions in collaboration and supervision of a licensed physician in a primary health care setting. - Obtaining complete medical, social and family history from patient, and/or family, and/or previous medical record, etc. - Prescribing medications, therapy, and treatments according to therapeutic goals, and counseling patients, and families as to expected goals and outcomes. - Educating and...
