The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO’s Market Structures department invites applications for a full-time Senior Market Solutions Engineer to join our team. The Senior Market Solutions Engineer will lead the electric power system model used by the scheduling and dispatch software. The Senior Market Solutions Engineer will develop and apply a working knowledge of the New York State high voltage transmission system and the network model database software to support the NYISO market and security functions. Additionally, this individual will lead the real-time power system analysis, primarily the EMS software applications and BMS software applications, as well as the development and evolution of the Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Energy Market Systems (B...
