Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Major Job Functions: The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Provides direction and guidance for questions and or problems referred by an MLT concerning specimen acceptability, unusual or discrepant results and instrument or method problems Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures Reports test results in a timely manner and according to established laboratory protocol and procedures Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control.
