Design Engineering Summer Internship Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineering Intern to support our engineering team with 3D modeling, drafting, and data management initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience with SolidWorks, exposure to real-world product development workflows, and the opportunity to assist with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system data cleanup to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in mechanical design, enjoys problem solving, and is eager to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities: 3D Modeling & Engineering Support (Primary Focus) · Create and update 3D models, parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks. · Assist engineers in developing new concepts, prototypes, and product improvements. · Generate engineering documentation including BOMs, exploded views, and technical drawings. · Support design reviews by preparing models, renderings, and revision updates. · Perform basic tolerance checks, drawing cleanups, and model organization per company standards.
