Painter 2 - Night Shift - HOLT Manufacturing Department: Machine Division (MAC): Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Kilgore: Reporting To: Christopher Cash: Description: This position is responsible for painting and sandblasting heavy equipment, oil field pump skids, generator packages, and related equipment in a shop environment. Hours for this position are 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Experience Preferred. Essential Functions: - Performs painting preparation process to assure quality paint application - Operates painting or coating tools on assigned equipment in order to improve appearance that results in customer satisfaction - Straightens body panels and fenders - Fills small dents that cannot be worked out with body filler - Files, grinds, sands and smooths filled or repaired surfaces - Sands or sandblasts areas to be painted and cover bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper for protection - Primes and paints repaired surfaces with care, skill and detail using applicable manufacturer paints and standards; details equipment - Maintains paint booth and painting equipment.
