Research Assistant (PhD)

Job description

Meta is seeking PhD candidates through 3-year fixed term contracts to join our Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) Lab. We are committed to advancing the field of artificial intelligence by making fundamental advances in scientific methods and technologies to help interact with and understand our world. We are seeking individuals passionate in areas such as foundational models, Large Language Models, deep learning, computer vision, audio and speech processing, natural language processing, machine learning, reinforcement learning, computational statistics, computational cognitive (neuro)science, and applied mathematics. Our contracts are 3-year fixed term for candidates with a Masters degree who plan to enroll in a doctorate program offered by an academic institution partnering with Meta such as partnering academic institutions and research institutes to name a few. PhD students joining our team are jointly supervised by academics at the partnering academic lab and research scientists at FAIR.
