Job description

Help students build confidence and capability in mathematics at our beautiful lakeside community college. As an Assistant Professor of Mathematics , this tenure-track role delivers high-quality instruction across courses such as college mathematics, technical mathematics, and/or statistics, with a focus on making mathematical concepts accessible, relevant, and applicable. Faculty teach a full course load each semester using engaging, inclusive approaches in both traditional and alternative delivery formats. Responsibilities include developing course materials, selecting affordable learning resources, and designing meaningful assessments that support student learning. This role evaluates student outcomes, provides timely feedback, and uses data to continuously improve instruction and curriculum. In addition to teaching, faculty advise students, support recruitment efforts, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in college service. It may also include mentoring adjunct faculty and teaching courses such as first-year experience or at off-site locations.
