Job description

The Buyer is responsible for prioritizing, planning, scheduling, executing and coordinating all phases of assigned work. The MRO Buyer is responsible for procuring all Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials, supplies and tools, required to support reliable plant operations. This role ensures continuity of production by maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and driving cost saving initiatives. The MRO Buyer partners closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to deliver efficient purchasing processes, timely deliveries, and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Purchasing Source, evaluate, and purchase MRO materials, spare parts, consumables, and non-blueprint tools Create and process purchase orders (POs) in alignment with approved requests and budget guidelines. Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or downtime. Expedite urgent orders and track open POs to ensure timely delivery.
