In this role, the Associate Accounting Analyst supports Casey's Fuel Accounting team by performing basic accounting duties to ensure proper coordination and accounting around month end closing procedures. This role plays a key part in ensuring proper coordination across fuel accounting processes within a fast-moving, high-growth business environment. Key Responsibilities: - Performs various systematic accounting entries as well as various daily and monthly accounting functions specific to the fuel business. This includes both Accounts Payable and fuel inventory reconciliations. - Prepares various accounting reports as requested by accounting leadership. - Maintains a basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. - Analyze, initiate, and implement best practices and procedures in the accounting department. - Operates efficiently and effectively within systems used on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data, as necessary.
