Description Tulane University , one of the nation’s premier research institutions, seeks a collaborative scholar to serve within the School of Science and Engineering as an assistant professor in the vibrant Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences . The successful candidate will be a recognized scholar who will enhance and augment the Solid Earth research team and contribute to our education and service missions. We seek a candidate whose research has applications in energy systems, including critical minerals for the energy transition, and who strengthens university-wide energy initiatives. Founded in 1926 and renamed in 2003, the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is committed to developing, disseminating, and applying knowledge about the interconnected physical, chemical, and biological evolution of the Earth and other planetary bodies through evidence-informed teaching and training, and service and engagement with the broader community.
