Job description
Under limited supervision, is responsible for the clinical management of assigned neonates in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit and Intermediate Care Nursery, and is responsible, under supervision, for stand-by at risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation in the Labor and Delivery Room. Education: Certified Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Licensure: Experience: At least two years of experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU Skills: - Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Heart saver (CPR Certification). - A high level of analytical ability is required in order to assess patients and implement appropriate intervention. - Substantial interpersonal and verbal communication skills required to effectively interact with staff, physicians, patients, and family members.
