The hours for this position are Saturday and Sunday from 6am-12pm Work Shift: Day Scheduled Weekly Hours: 12 Summary: This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by providing patient care services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant. This position includes a wide range of duties for the Rehabilitation Department to support and assist with patient care. This position may also be used for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy students who will obtain the necessary licensure within 60 days to become a licensed OT or PT. Job Description: Job Duties: - Assists the Physical Therapist/Physical Therapist Assistant as needed with patient care - Schedules patients in EPIC and assisting with active management of patient schedules - Checks patients into therapy to include proper paperwork for initial sessions and repeat sessions - outpatient only - Communicates with physicians, includes mailing and receiving notes, faxes - Checking and placement of the confidential recycling boxes - Makes copies as requested by staff, as needed for documentation, patient education and home exercise program - Distributes departme...
