Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Concast Crew is responsible for operating the coiler, support equipment, banding coils, preparing necessary paperwork for shipment and maintaining required supplies such as pallets. This position is responsible for the operation of mill side and proper operation of the booth, and all functions necessary to operate the combustion system and melt copper for the operation, including loading the furnaces. This position is responsible for loading and operation of the Rotary furnace, for performing all team operations including start ups, roll changes, band changes, wheel changes and cleaning the various parts of the casting operation. Routinely operates powered industrial equipment including forklifts, skid steers and the silent hoist, and maintains housekeeping in assigned area. Identifies problems in the casting process and completes corrective action, including forms and paperwork. Performs required support function as assigned including installation and removal of launder system, snouts etc., burning bar to clean out furnaces and take temperature readings at the Rotary furnace with temperature reading equipment, and repairing refractory as required in snout, l...
