MAJOR PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Digital Forensics Examiners and Digital Forensics Analysts are the in-house experts on digital forensics related topics for The Legal Aid Society. They are responsible for preserving, creating, and analyzing digital evidence in a forensically sound manner. They are also responsible for creating reports to be used in court proceedings, as well as, testifying in hearings and trials as experts in digital forensics fields. Additionally, Examiners and Analysts provide explanations of digital forensics topics to other Society staff through discussion of the evidence in cases and informal and formal trainings. Examiners and Analysts are required to maintain all applicable certifications. They also must continually update their knowledge and skills with the relevant changes in technology.
