Intro Millions of people are fleeing war, hunger, persecution or natural disasters. Most of them are in Third World countries. But also in Belgium people arrive in search of a new home and a safe haven. At the request of the government, Red Cross-Flanders receives applicants for international protection while they wait for the outcome of their procedure. Are you motivated to help with this mission? Job Description: - You are jointly responsible for the practical organization of the reception center; - You ensure adequate application of the internal regulations; - You are jointly responsible for the psychosocial counseling of applicants for international protection; - You take care of administrative (mail, etc.) and logistical tasks (stock management, etc.); - You ensure a good information flow; - You have a signaling function to the center manager. Your Profile: - You have at least a secondary education degree in a people-oriented field and have gained experience in conversation techniques (and can discuss sensitive issues) - You speak and understand English fluently (= the working language in the center).
