JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Public Works (DPW) Tank Inspector inspects tanks for filling, and authorizes sanitization if necessary. The Tank Inspector confirms the correct location of tanks, issues tank ID tags and all pertinent paperwork. They also collect waiver and statement of understanding signatures, and maintain and submit current paperwork to the DPW Waterworks Manager regarding the status of all tanks. The Tank Inspector will radio in the first fill information to the DPW Waterworks Dispatcher. This temporary, ineligible for benefits role is: The deadline to apply for this role is 5:00 pm Pacific on April 1st. - From August - August : Full-Time , Non-Exempt , based on-site out of Black Rock City, Nevada . DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Daily Operations & Maintenance (55%): - Meet with participants in the Civic Water program to assess water tank and delivery site safety. - Inspects tanks for filling, and authorizes sanitization as necessary, and labels water tanks that meet safety & readiness standards. - Updates tracking software with changes to assets as noticed in the field.
