Job description

The Manager Is responsible and accountable for assisting the director with coordinating and directing day to day activities in the unit(s), to insure adequate staffing and the delivery of quality, cost-effective care. The manager is able to fulfill the RN job requirements for home unit(s), as well as serve as a clinical resource person and a role model for staff members. He/She continually assesses staff educational needs and identifies areas for improvement. Current State of Louisiana R.N. License/Permit. CPR for healthcare provider through AHA upon hire. - TECHNICAL TASKS - Plans and arranges for department unit meetings. - Responsible for patient rounds. - Responsible for timely and complete documentation relating to personnel files. - CRITICAL THINKING - Directs staff in the daily operations of the area including problem identification, planning, implementation, patient safety and evaluation of patient outcomes. - Facilitates daily Care Coordination Rounds and ensures development of Plan of Care that meets individualized needs of patients. - Interviews, hires, evaluates, councils, and disciplines personnel assigned to the unit and/or department. - Identifies and maintains the n...
