Description The Assistant/Associate Dean for Students is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, developing and assessing student support services for successful advancement of predoctoral dental, dental hygiene, graduate and DDS/PhD students at the School of Dentistry. The Dean for Students Office focuses on recruiting, retaining and fostering the educational and career development of students in the School’s academic programs. The Assistant/Associate Dean for Students is responsible for overseeing DDS admissions, financial aid, some registrar services including course registration, and student support. Support services for students include but are not limited to: event planning such as New Student Orientation, Evening of Appreciation, Commencement, and the White Coat Ceremony; student org representative travel to national meetings; wellness counseling and career, personal and academic advising; accommodations for students with disabilities in conjunction with Educational Support Services (ESS); and peer-tutoring.
