General Purpose of Job: A professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the overall direction of operating room personnel and activities under the direct supervision of the CV Team Lead and the Operating Room Manager. Administers peri‑operative care for patients undergoing surgery using general anesthesia, sedation, and local anesthesia when appropriate. Assists the surgeon and other professional and technical personnel in carrying out operating room and surgical functions. The patient care requirements include those of infant, child and adolescent patients when these patient populations are served as well as the adult in the cardiac service line.
