Industrial Safety & Health Inspector - WSHP 260002K6 Description The Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards strives for a Massachusetts free of workplace hazards that cause injuries and illnesses, where wages are paid fairly and equitably, and the most vulnerable workers are protected. State Plan Mission: The Massachusetts Workplace Safety and Health Program (WSHP) is an OSHA State Plan with jurisdiction for public sector workplaces, to prevent injuries and promote compliance with OSHA standards, in accordance with 454 CMR 25. General Statement of Job Duties: The Massachusetts State Plan is looking for an experienced industrial hygienist to join the Enforcement team. Candidate must be able to work independently on a caseload of multiple assignments. Inspectors are assigned a list of inspections to complete, and may also be dispatched same-day to respond to an industrial accident or fatality. Detailed Summary of Duties and Responsibilities The State Plan operates a separate Enforcement and Consultation team.
