Evaluates residents' requests for medical services through the use of established nursing protocols. The LPN consults with the RN as needed when using nursing protocols and standing orders. Responds to medical emergencies and practices within the scope of LPN licensure as is defined by the VA Board of Nursing and the prevailing community Standards of practice.
