Department: Cat Scan: Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk): GENERAL SUMMARY: Work under the supervision of the Manager of CT. The CT Support Assistant’s primary job function is to safely prepare patients for their CT exam. Taking patients full history, checking allergies, among many other important parts of the exam preparation. Works closely with the CT Technologist, completing CT History Sheet, positioning patients, moving patients, and transporting patients to and from departments. Assisting the CT Technologist with all patients. This position would be able to everything a CT Technologist performs except for giving contrast to the patient and hitting the radiation exposure button. Education: Licensure: Experience: - High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required - BLS within 90 days of hire required. - One to three months of on-the-job training.
