WHO WE ARE: The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Our members provide electricity for more than 250 million Americans and operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. As a whole, the electric power industry supports more than 7 million jobs in communities across the United States. EEI employees are required to work in office Monday-Thursday, and have the option to work remotely on Fridays. Position Summary: The Managing Director, Research and Policy leads the development, execution, and communication of EEI’s policy analysis and research agenda. This role is responsible for identifying emerging regulatory, legislative, market, and news-driven developments affecting the energy sector, and producing high-quality written work products that inform EEI’s advocacy, member engagement, and external positioning. The Managing Director leads a team of professionals including policy analysts and economists, and serves as a key internal thought partner and external subject-matter expert on complex energy policy issues.
