Summary: The Senior Medical Assistant is a member of the medical care team and is responsible for assisting nursing and medical provider/staff with a prescribed set of duties in the provision of patient care. This position also performs clerical duties, acts as receptionist and communicates with all disciplines. Responsibilities: - Verbalizes knowledge of and adherence to OSHA standards for blood- borne pathogens; Utilizes appropriate technique in performing venipuncture to obtain blood specimens in accordance with agency procedure. - Ensure and maintain an adequate inventory of all necessary supplies, including medical equipment, forms and other inventory that might be appropriate or required by the physician. - Adheres to Front Desk Protocol for patient flow (1. Reception, 2. Registration, 3. Triage, 4. Escort to Provider, 5. Labs, 6.
