PURPOSE OF POSITION: Under direction of an assigned supervisor, the Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the health and safety standards of the School. The Custodian provides a clean and safe learning and living environment for employees and students. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma or GED; ability to read and write. - One or more years of successful custodial experience. - Must follow directions and perform work duties with limited supervision. - Good communication skills that allow positive interaction with staff, students and the public. - Good work ethic is required. - Good physical condition in order to perform custodial duties, including lifting, bending, stooping, climbing and reaching. Navajo /Indian Preference: Consideration for employment will be given to Navajo, American Indian or Alaskan Tribal member with the required documentation including the necessary qualifications to meet the minimal requirements of the position.
