Position Summary: - Responsible for preparing meals to order, catering and batch cooking for patients, visitors and staff. Principal Accountabilities: - Standards of Performance: Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Collaboration, Stewardship, Accountability, Quality Education: - High School diploma or equivalent preferred Licenses and Certification: Within 30 days of hire: - Food Service Managers Certification (SJMH only) - Food Service Handlers Certification (MHC, HH, HMC, Cancer Institute) - Food Allergens Certification Experience and Skills: - Technical Experience: 6 months, preferred Physical Activities: - Intermittent hand manipulation required - Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds - Required to stand for periods of up to 4 hours Role Specific Responsibilities: - Maintains clean work area following all safety and sanitation guidelines - Enters and reports cash transactions. - Adjusts meals to meet the needs of the patient while following doctor’s orders - Keeps all work areas adequately stocked with food, condiments, beverages and service w...
