Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Position Purpose At Saint Mary's Hospital , the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Main PACU delivers high-acuity post-operative care for patients recovering from complex surgeries performed in the Operating Room. What You Will Do: Provide high-acuity care for patients recovering from trauma, cardiovascular, neurological, and other critical surgeries. Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia, stabilization, and transfer readiness. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to deliver advanced interventions and uphold perioperative standards. Minimum Qualifications: Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Active RN license in the state of Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have one or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery. Preferred: BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC): ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire) Proficiency in ASPAN standards and guidelines.
