Job Description Environmental/Safety Tech - Columbus, NE Summary: Work under the direction of the Environmental Manager to perform periodic regulatory and non-regulatory testing, inspections, audits and related functions. Specific Job Duties: - Conduct Leak Detection and Reporting (LDAR) VOC emission measurement and documentation per environmental permits. - Operate street sweeper truck to clean plant roads per environmental permit requirements. - Perform trouble-shooting and light routine maintenance of street sweeper or other equipment. - Conducts Hazardous Waste inspections, Universal Waste inspections, and Stormwater/SPCC inspections. - Perform recycling pick-up, and support other waste management activities as assigned. - Collect environmental samples (such as biogas, coal, or other similar samples), and prepare for shipment to outside lab. - Conduct scheduled inspections of environmental equipment, including environmental spill kits, FRP trailer, and other similar equipment. - Complete all necessary documentation to comply with all reporting agencies. - Report all findings to appropriate departments so that necessary steps can be taken to correct any deficiencies. - Be a memb...
