ROLE OVERVIEW: The Senior Counsel, in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Legal Officer, will be responsible for creating, implementing, driving, and maintaining the company’s legal priorities and strategy related to policy, regulatory, and energy storage, among others. This role will serve as the primary legal partner to the policy and energy storage teams and provide regulatory guidance across the company's development, finance, and operations functions. While this role will initially focus on supporting the policy and energy storage teams, the scope of responsibility may evolve and expand over time in response to business needs and the company’s growth. This individual will lead legal analysis and strategy related to federal, state, and local regulatory matters affecting renewable energy and energy storage projects, including market participation, interconnection, permitting, procurement programs, and evolving policy frameworks.
