FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: M-F Position Summary: The Chaplain Resident is a student who is enrolled in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program offered through MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital or is continuing no longer than 6 months following completion of a fourth unit of CPE, as mutually agreed upon by the resident, ACPE Supervisor/Program Coordinator, and Spiritual Care Program Director. The Chaplain Resident participates as a peer to the CPE Chaplain Interns and develops his/her pastoral care skills under the supervision of the ACPE Supervisor/Program Coordinator. He/she practices compassionate and effective spiritual support to patients, families, and staff members to address needs resulting from the impact of illness or injury.
