Job description

SHIFT: Night -Monday-Friday, 8:00pm - 5:30am: THE ROLE: Under general supervision, performs safety and maintenance inspections, preventive maintenance on vehicles and/or heavy landfill equipment and/or stationary equipment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Performs preventive maintenance and safety inspections on any or all company vehicles, heavy landfill equipment and stationary equipment. - Accurately and efficiently completes paperwork and/or computer database entries relating to the work performed, documenting parts and supply usage. Generates repair orders to communicate defects or areas of concerns for follow up and/or corrective action. - Performs minor repairs and cleaning of components as required. Performs other maintenance related work as required by supervisor or foreman. - Operate forklift and other yard equipment as required. - Performs all work in accordance to company standards and policies and DOT standards for safety. - Maintains a clean, safe work area in accordance with company policy and federal, state and local requirements.
