Performs phlebotomy (the practice of entering a vein to draw blood) services on inpatients and outpatients, as requested by physicians, in support of the hospital's mission of patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Completion of a phlebotomy education program or an allied health education program that includes phlebotomy education and a minimum of 50 successful unaided venipunctures. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: EXPERIENCE: 1. Phlebotomy experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
