West Allis Medical Center 6 South Med Surg Oncology is a 34-bed inpatient acute care unit that provides care to patients with Pneumonia, COPD Exacerbation, Pancreatitis, Acute Renal failure, post-op, and Oncology patients who may require additional care in an inpatient setting. 6 South has 4 beds designated to meet inpatient hospice care to provide continuity of care for our patients as they transition to end of life care. This is a great opportunity to jump start your practice as a Nurse Extern II and transition seamlessly into a Registered Nurse role.
