Excellence. Innovation. Integrity. Passion. Catcher processor engineer experience and Chief Engineer license preferred. The Chief Engineer directs and oversees the operation, maintenance, and repairs of the vessel’s operating systems: diesel engines, generators, refrigeration, electrical and hydraulic equipment, water making and sanitary equipment, deck machinery, factory equipment, pumps, cooling, and conveyor systems. Chief Engineers also maintain the engine room and other logs as required by the company or other agencies. Chief Engineers are also responsible for fueling the vessel and transferring liquids, refrigerants, and fuel onboard. Chief Engineers are expected to work closely with Port Engineering staff to coordinate and complete shipyard projects. Essential Duties: Chief Engineers must be able to: - Operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment onboard the vessel including but not limited to: - Engines, generators - Hydraulic systems, pumps, motors - Refrigeration equipment - Sewage and water treatment systems - Electrical, steering, and cooling equipment - Various power and hand tools, welding equipment, and two-way radios - Perform work assignments on any or all...
