JOB SUMMARY: Math Learning Lab Peer Tutors provide academic support and assistance to fellow students for classes offered by the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science. This role involves facilitating learning, reinforcing course material, and helping students develop effective study skills. Peer tutors serve as mentors and guides, fostering a collaborative learning environment that encourages student success. Currently recruiting tutors for: - Math 1014 – College Algebra - Math 1102 – Mathematical Perspectives - Math 1151/1161 – Math for Educators I and II - Math 1203 – Statistical Models for Social Science - Math 1205 – Finite Math with Applied Calculus for Business - Math 1015 – Precalculus - Math 1401 – Calculus 1 - Math 1501/1511/2511 – Calculus 1, 2, or 3 for Math and Physical Science - Math 2111 – Statistics for Science - CSAS 1114/1115 – Intro to Program Design 1 and 2 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students seeking assistance in Mathematics or Computer Science. - Clarify course concepts, review homework assignments, and help students prepare for exams. - Adapt tutoring techniques to accommodate diverse learning s...
