Description Description: LKA Schools is a system of tuition free, public charter schools which provides evidence-based instruction for students with dyslexia. We are looking for a Special Education Coordinator to oversee the functions of our Special Education department at our Jefferson campus. The Special Education Coordinator manages special education programs and services while ensuring adherence to federal and state laws and policies as well as alignment with the science of dyslexia and LKA’s mission. Requirements: Qualifications: Master’s degree in education or a related field (preferred). Ambassador of Louisiana Key Academy’s mission and vision. Performance Responsibilities: Ensures compliance to established SPED policies, procedures and/or regulations. Manages the Special Education budget and purchasing. Manages their school site’s special education programs and services which include admissions, enrollment, evaluations, and the creation and upkeep of IEPs and 504 plans.
