Position Summary (Basic Job Function) This is a temporary or on-call position. Performs a variety of duties in support of summer camps and conferences, such as responding to participant concerns, questions and emergencies, maintaining/monitoring camp rules, checking in/out of participants, attending meetings. May involve overnight supervision of participants. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period. Unit Position Summary: The Robotics Summer Program Mentor plays a crucial role in guiding and supporting students through their robotics learning experience. Mentors are responsible for ensuring a safe and engaging environment while assisting students in building, programming, and troubleshooting robotic challenges. They are expected to arrive on time, dress professionally, and adhere to classroom conduct guidelines, such as refraining from phone use and earbud usage during instructional time.
