Position Summary Support the mission of the Department of Campus Safety to foster and maintain a safe and secure environment for its students, faculty, staff and visitors, by maintaining a level of protection to NYU’s President, Provost, VIP’s, Dignitaries, and controversial speakers visiting NYU properties. Supervise Campus Safety Officers (CSO) and Contract Security personnel during executive protection details as needed. Qualifications: Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required Experience: 2+ years campus safety experience Preferred Experience: 1+ years Private Security, Military, or Law Enforcement Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. Knowledge of security best practices and procedures. Analytical skills and objective observance of situations and quick decision making. Skill in motivating subordinates. Skill in managing situations firmly, courteously, tactfully and impartially. Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
