WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Stabilization Counselor is an exempt position responsible for providing clinical services to parents and caregivers who care for dependent children under the jurisdiction of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County, Florida. This professional position will assist in strengthening and stabilizing placements for children by providing intensive, specialized, therapeutic services to keep children in their current placement when safe and possible. - Provide direct counseling to parents, caregivers, and children, to help meet the family's needs and stabilize the placement. - Provide therapeutic crisis intervention services, when needed, to assist in stabilizing families and ensuring safety for the children in care. - Provide effective role modeling and psychoeducation to support parents and caregivers in learning trauma-informed ways to manage the challenging behavior of the children in care. - Provide information, referr...
