Engineering Technician

Job description

The Engineering Technician will provide hands-on technical support to the Aerospace & Defense Electrical Protection engineering team, supporting the development, testing, qualification, and sustainment of mission-critical electrical protection products used in aerospace and defense platforms. This role is highly lab-focused and works closely with design, test, manufacturing, and quality engineering. General Responsibilities: - Leads analyzing the malfunctions and deviations of control systems to identify and resolve problems. - Advises the engineering team on sample builds - Ensures tooling and equipment validation with engineering. - Performs engineering tests. - Ensures the developtment of testing and data analysis. - Leads cycle time studies that identifies potential bottlenecks. - Identifies irregularities in the process of the manufacturing equipment. - Advises on analysis and prepares reports using metrics obtained from monitoring using raw data, trends and other reports. - Leads technical issues and trains other employees in the team. - Provides changes of documentation in work instructions.
