Job Details Full Time 40 hours weekly. Weekend rotation. On call requirement. Job Description: Summary: The Radiology Technologist performs x-ray scans of patient's internal anatomy to aid physicians in diagnosing illnesses, diseases, or injuries. Executes radiologic services in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provides consultation advice to patients and radiology professionals. Delivers patient care and education before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Job Duties: - Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.(Do not delete, move or over-write this statement) - Appropriately positions radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment. - Explains radiographic procedure to the patient, obtains complete and accurate history relevant to the examination to being performed. Communicates effectively with the patient. - Provides staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards, including placement of shields/aprons in order to limit radiation exposure. - Implements and monitors local,...
