Job description

This position is responsible for ordering, reviewing commercial real estate appraisals and evaluations within Appraisal Services for TowneBank. The position will assist senior personnel with all aspects of appraisal functions. Essential Responsibilities: - Competently understand a moderately high level of complexity of real estate taken as collateral by the Bank. Must be able to advise Bank personnel on matters of type of appraisal, types of values needed, and required valuation scenarios. Must be able to communicate requirements to external fee appraisers and know which service providers are most appropriate for a particular assignment. - Perform technical and administrative reviews of commercial real estate appraisals for compliance with law and policy, and for reasonableness and quality. - If necessary, modify values in appraisals, when warranted and support the decision to do so according to the Interagency Appraisal & Evaluation Guidelines, USPAP and FIRREA requirements. - Resolve valuation differences/discrepancies between Appraisers and Loan Production staff while maintaining Appraiser Independence. - Manage the appraisal workflow and prepare Reviews on complex commercial pr...
