Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Supervisor provides operational leadership and oversight of day-to-day groundskeeping activities across all assigned UR Medicine/Finger Lakes Health facilities. This position is responsible for coordinating staffing, scheduling tasks, and ensuring the upkeep and appearance of exterior grounds and related equipment. Serves as the primary on-call contact for grounds operations from November through April and as otherwise directed. Qualifications: Education: Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Associate’s degree in Facilities Management or relevant field License/Certification: License: Valid NYS drivers license: Certifications: Pesticide License within 6-months of hire Experience: Minimum: 5-years in groundskeeping and/or facilities maintenance. Preferred: 2-years of supervisory or lead experience in maintenance or grounds operations. Other: Minimum: Demonstrated ability to work with people in a professional and courteous manner and to work effectively with stressful situations.
