POSITION: Economic Justice Program Coordinator REPORTS TO: Director of Advocacy & Training STATUS: Non-Exempt; Full-Time; Regular COMPENSATION: $22 - $24 Hourly Wage BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance; Employee Assistance Program; 403(b) Retirement Plan; Paid Holidays, Sick, and Vacation LOCATION: Sacramento, CA (this position is not eligible for full-time remote work) JOB SUMMARY: The Economic Justice Program Coordinator is the lead for the Center’s workforce development program and services. The primary goal of this program is to place transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse individuals, and LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness, into jobs that provide economic security and career pathways with LGBTQ+ affirming employers. This position is responsible for providing detailed workforce development case management, coordinating You Betta Work LGBTQ+ Career Fairs, job readiness workshops, career counseling, job placement, removing barriers to employment, and building employment environments where LGBTQ+ people, especially those with multiple marginalized identities, can thrive.
