Job description

Scope of Position: Reporting to the Director of Finance, the incumbent will be planning, organizing and managing the company's accounting and budgeting activities in accordance with established processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports. - Balance sheet integrity and reconciliation. - Manage the accuracy of day-to-day activities of invoicing, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general accounting, cost accounting, etc. - Review and maintain appropriate accruals for Obsolescence, Rebates, Bad Debt, Bonus, and other miscellaneous items. - Ensure that all statutory requirements are met including Income Tax and sales Tax. - Prepare analyses to evaluate different strategies and get optimal results for various projects. - Participate in review of internal control policies to ensure compliance. - Participate in process improvement initiatives by ensuring proper implementation, documentation and communicate the process modifications and improvements. - Coordinate and participate in the monthly closing process and ensure the financial transactions are accounted in accordance with the IFRS and company policies....
