The Building Superintendent is responsible for all maintenance and janitorial services at the site they are assigned to, including the maintenance of building systems and equipment and ensuring that the needs of the site staff and tenants are being met as they pertain to the building facilities. The Building Superintendent ensures that all building structures, systems, and equipment are consistently maintained to provide a safe, secure, and sanitary environment for all staff, tenants, and visitors. The building superintendent provides basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other repair services to ensure the building is well-maintained and in good repair. The Building Superintendent is the onsite building manager responsible for properly operating and maintaining all building systems and equipment, including heating systems and boilers, and serves as an in-house technical expert.
