What we are looking for SCS Engineers is looking for an energetic, forward-thinking Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineer to join our Portland, Oregon office. You should be organized, embrace teamwork, and have the desire to grow professionally. This position is initially a more field-oriented position. Environmental sampling and other field activities are an important basis for understanding the science and career growth in this area of work. How you can make an impact - A mixture of office and field work expected (up to 100% field during 5-10 weeks of the year; generally, 50% of each during the remainder of the year). - Coordinate and manage field work for multiple projects. - Record data during field work, which could include, but not limited to soil characteristics, groundwater and surface water data, photographs, and summaries of visual observations through photography and written field logs in accordance with standard operating procedures. - Evaluate and interpret data recorded during field work for reporting purposes and to help determine future project needs in coordination with the project manager. - Communicate with clients for field work coordination. - Compl...
