Job Description Summary The major gifts writer serves chiefly as a proposal writer for the MUSC Foundation, with additional responsibilities outlined below. This role is part of the Foundation’s development team and reports to the senior principal-initiatives writer. Responsibilities include gathering information and using this information to write and produce compelling proposals in support of fundraising initiatives; writing content demonstrating the impacts of philanthropy on MUSC and the people it serves; and writing senior-level donor correspondences. The writer must have excellent written communication skills, be able to meet demanding deadlines and be able to articulate and present medical and research content that is relevant, engaging and compelling to external audiences with the result of securing donor support.
