Description Cleans all areas of the hospital as directed by supervisor and according to policies and procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities. Requirements: Minimum Qualification: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. Position Description: - Performs assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department. - Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. - Completes work assignments in a timely manner. - Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies and cleaning techniques according to procedure and manufacturer’s recommendations. - Performs restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas. - Operates and maintains all equipment correctly and safely. - Observes safety precautions at all times. - Uses WET FLOOR safety signs for cleaning where appropriate. - Follows all infection prevention and control practices, including Standard Precautions, Transmission-Based Precautions and hand hygiene. - Reports safety hazards as appropriate....
